Rashad Richey Part 2, The Progressive Advocating for Conservative Values
His private writings betray a Christian traditionalist squarely at odds with his public persona.
This a continuation of Part 1 (link) where The Young Turks network and WAOK radio host Rashad Richey is outed as holding fraudulent and unaccredited degrees, and aggressively promoting supposed achievements with a network of fake news websites. The network has been mostly shut down since the revelations but not before Richey fired off one last article, written by his friends and own employees, that claimed to exonerate him of all alleged wrongdoing.
Rashad Richey is the host of the show Indisputable on TYT, “Home of the Progressives”, as they call themselves. On the show, he regularly advocates for the marginalized, LGBTQ+ rights, and passionately argues against views of conservative Christian politicians. But a review of his personal connections and published writings calls into question if he really is a progressive or just plays one on TV.
Arch-conservative Dissertation
In 2016 Richey sought out and obtained a PhD from the unregistered, unaccredited and staunchly conservative Scofield Graduate School (link). One should note that Richey had to specifically seek out such an arch-conservative seminary as most religious schools do not lean into such extreme views. He has been boasting about his dissertation since then (link), although it seems that no one had actually read the thesis until now. The content would certainly come as a surprise and shock to his regular audience, and his employer TYT.
The premise of the thesis is that America was founded as a Christian nation and that secular Americans, who are all Marxist progressives, also derive their moral values from Christianity, although their flawed and deficient minds are unable to admit to it. Richey criticizes unscientific gender ideology (p. 11, 39) and bemoans the fact that one cannot oppose the unconscionable progressive gay marriage agenda these days without being called a bigot (p. 32, 34, 38).
Rashad Richey’s thesis is a thorough treatise on how progressives are like Marxists, and suggests they try to unduly impose their atheist scientific beliefs on the populace like fascists (p. 54). Ali Rashad Richey, a man with two Arabic given names, mentions Islam no fewer than 81 times, all negatively, and is fond of using the term “sharia supremacist Islam”. The dissertation is in such stark contrast to his views publicly broadcast every day on his shows, that one cannot but notice the stunning hypocrisy of it all.
The image below depicts Rashad defending A Muslim family from discrimination on his TYT show Indisputable, versus one of his many attacks on the - according to him - inherently violent Islam in his dissertation
.
Below an example of Richey defending the LGBTQ movement on his show, versus one of his many arguments against it from his thesis.
The Immigration Law Thesis from March 2024 calls for more Conservatism
Richey recently claimed a doctorate of law from Azteca University in Mexico, an unaccredited degree. He published the dissertation shortly thereafter (link) but again, none of his progressive supporters seem to have noticed. Richey argues for more border controls and stricter enforcement of immigration law “to uphold the rule of law”. He proposes fines for companies employing illegal immigrants, seemingly ignoring the fact that such law already exists. In his conclusion, he notices that most research on immigration has come from the democratic liberal side of views. He then calls for more academic immigration research from conservatives and Republicans to even out the imbalance of opinions on the subject. Richey’s viewers and listeners would certainly be surprised by this approach, being familiar only with the dilligently progressive rhetoric from his shows.
Association with far-right figures
Despite publicly associating with black civil rights advocates and calling himself one, Richey appears to associate himself with a number of far-right figures:
His doctoral supervisor Kenny Rhodes. The Scofield Graduate School is Rhodes’ one-man show and it is remarkable that Richey sought out such a hard-core creationist. Kenny Rhodes is currently enrolled at the ultra-conservative Liberty University.
One-man show Euro-American University president John Kersey. Kersey is the source of six of Rashad’s academic degree claims. His undergrad from the Euro-American University, both degrees from the Haitian university, both degrees from the Costa Rican university, and his degree from Western Orthodox University. All six degrees were single-handedly conferred to him, through various scams, by John Kersey over a period of 18 years. Kersey is a far-right British political figure, a one-time leader in the Traditional Britain Group that spoke fondly of Hitler, opposed all immigration, and opposes any “gays” (link).
His employee and faithful Christian Nemiah Plant (link), a US Department of Defense employee who is currently enrolled at Liberty University, where she has promised to “to abstain from sexual activity outside of a biblically ordained marriage”.
Richey’s new Catholic University
Nemiah Plant is also named as the president of a new Catholic university that Richey established last year (link). St. Magnus University in Florida promises students a degree from an “accredited research university” and charges $21,600 for a PhD (link). In reality, the online-only university is not accredited by any accreditaion agency, and takes great pains to meet the minimum religious criteria under Florida law to be exempt from any higher education regulations (link). The predatory “university” appears to target unwitting foreign students who are trying to obtain a legitimate university degree from the United States. St. Magnus University is wholly owned by Rashad Richey who has registered himself as president, vice president and secretary, having two companies that he solely owns stand in as proxies.
Richey’s religious university is registered with the same Florida Registered Agent that his friend John Kersey used to register his Euro-American University in Florida (link), at 7901 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. It seems that Richey has gotten so many fraudulent academic degrees, he surmised that he needed to get in on the scam and learned from his mentor John Kersey how to go about it.
Given Rashad Richey’s very committed involvement with staunchly conservative figures and the traditional Christian views he espouses in his writings, it seems that Richey is fooling his audience into believing he is a progressive at heart. And pershaps he has figured out that it is more profitable to hold certain identitarian views on his social media channels that are the main source of his income.
How do you know Richey actually wrote that thing himself?
he established a university?
holy shit
